Tiger Men Headed to Wisconsin to Open NCAA Playoffs

San Antonio - Trinity's men's tennis team has received a first-round bye in the NCAA Playoffs, and will open up its part in the 44-team tournament on Saturday, May 11, at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.

The Tigers qualified for the NCAA Playoffs for the fourth consecutive season after winning the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championship for the fourth straight time at the end of April.  Trinity earned 9-0 wins over Austin College and Colorado College to win the two-day tournament.  It marked the team's 18th overall conference title.

Ohio Northern and Concordia (WI) will face off at noon on Friday to open the tournament in Whitewater, Wisconsin.  The winner advances to take on Trinity at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday afternoon.  Hosting Wisconsin-Whitewater takes on Gustavus Adolphus on Saturday at noon.  The winner will face the winner of the Trinity match in Sunday's regional final at 12:00 p.m.
