Tiger Men Sweep Austin College in SCAC Tournament Semifinals

San Antonio - Trinity's men's tennis team earned a 9-0 win in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Tournament Semifinals on Saturday afternoon.

The Tigers are attempting to win a fourth consecutive conference championship.  Austin College earned a 7-2 win over Centenary College to open the tournament this morning.  Colorado College also edged Southwestern to reach the SCAC Final.

Doubles teams of Nicolas Moreno/Aaron Skinner and Greg Haugen/Connor Dunn both won 8-0 to start off the day, while Erick DelaFuente and Jordan Mayer won 8-1 to start off the afternoon's action.  

Skinner won 6-2, 6-2 at line one singles, while Dunn was a 6-0, 6-2 victor at line six.  The other four singles matches were all decided 6-0, 6-0.  Haugen, DelaFuente, and Mayer were joined by Charlie Curtis as the four Tigers who swept their matches.

Trinity and Colorado were set to play tonight for the SCAC Championship, but the match was suspended due to lightning and rain.  The teams will pick up the action on Sunday morning.
