Tiger Men's Tennis Trio Opens Singles and Doubles Action Today

Oberlin, Ohio - Sophomore Max Frey, and juniors Bobby Cocanougher and Cory Cowal will open up play in the NCAA Singles and Doubles Championships on Friday at Oberlin College.

Frey, a 2009 ITA All-American, was Trinity's top singles player all season long, posting a 14-8 overall record in singles this season.  He will take on the singles draw's top seed in Dillon Pottish of Emory on Friday morning.  The singles tournament is a 32-player event that will conclude on Sunday.

Cocanougher and Kowal are in familiar territory, having advanced to the Doubles Semifinals just last year, and the Tiger duo are already two-time doubles All-Americans at Trinity.  They will meet David Maldow and Andrew Wang of Johns Hopkins in the opening round of the 16-team tournament this afternoon.

The 13th-ranked Tiger team advanced to the NCAA Quarterfinals before falling 5-2 to No. 3 Claremont this past Tuesday.
