Three Tiger Men's Soccer Players Earn Scholar All-Region Honors

San Antonio – Trinity men's soccer players Kellen Reid, Guy Harris, and Cooper Fyfe were all named to the United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-West Region Team.

All three were crucial to the defensive success of a team that allowed just 17 goals and recorded 12 shutouts in 23 games played. The Tigers were 21-2-0 overall this season, as well as posting a 13-1-0 record in Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference play.

Reid missed eight games due to injury this season, but he was still named to the All-SCAC Second Team. The four-year starter on Trinity's back line was a 2016 National Soccer Coaches Association of America 1st Team All-West Region and 2nd Team All-American.

Fyfe earned a spot on the All-SCAC Second Team as a defensive midfielder, as well as earning First Team All-Region honors from the United Soccer Coaches this season.

Harris was the SCAC Co-Defensive Player of the Year and a First Team All-SCAC selection this year, and he joined Fyfe as the only Trinity players to start every game this season. In addition to his conference honors, Harris was also chosen to the United Soccer Coaches All-Region First Team and All-America Third Team.

Head Coach Paul McGinlay finished his 27th season with the Tigers by winning the program's 20th overall SCAC Championship and 21st appearance in the NCAA Tournament.
