Men's Soccer to Host NCAA First and Second Round Playoff Games
San Antonio - Trinity University will host the first two rounds of the NCAA Division III Men's Soccer Championship Tournament Friday, Nov. 12, and Saturday, Nov. 13, at the Trinity Soccer Field.
The Tigers (18-2-0) take on Pacific (Ore.) (14-2-3) at 5 p.m. Friday. Texas-Tyler (12-3-1) meets Claremont-Mudd-Scripps (14-3-2) in the second game at 7 p.m. The winners advance to Saturday's second-round game, with a 6 p.m. starting time.

Ticket prices per session, set by the NCAA, are $6 general admission, $3 for seniors (age 55 and over) and students (with I.D.), and $2 for children ages 3-12. Children age 2 and under will be admitted free. Ticket sales begin Friday, at 3:30 p.m. at the Trinity Soccer Field. Saturday's tickets go on sale at 4:30 p.m.
Sixty teams are competing in the NCAA national tournament. The round of 16 and quarterfinals are slated for Nov. 19-20, or Nov. 20-21, at sites to be determined.
The NCAA Men's and Women's Soccer Semifinals and Championships will be held Dec. 3-4 at San Antonio's Blossom Soccer Stadium. Trinity and San Antonio Sports are co-hosts of the event for the second consecutive year.
Trinity, led by 20th-year Head Coach Paul McGinlay, will compete in its 14th NCAA Tournament, including the ninth in a row. The Tigers earned an automatic bid by capturing their 14th Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference title, with an 11-0-0 record. Coach McGinlay led the Tigers to the NCAA Division III Men's Soccer Championship in 2003.
