Tiger Men's Golf Fifth After First-Round Action at Alamo City Classic

San Antonio - The Trinity men's golf team stands in fifth place after Monday's opening round at its Alamo City Classic, which is being held at The Quarry Golf Club.

HIGHLIGHTS

Trinity shot a first-round 310 at the par-71 course. The defending champion Tigers are nine strokes behind first-round leader Hardin-Simmons (TX) University. Eight teams are competing in the two-day event.

Peyton Bartee is leading four Tiger golfers in the top 25 after the first round of competition. Bartee carded a 5-over 76 to tie for eighth place individually, trailing the leaders by just three strokes.

Corbin Cormier shot a 6-over 77 and is tied for 14th place, while Tucker Norris is in a tie for 18th and Dawson Dally is tied for 24th.

Trinity leads the field with 53 total pars in the first round, and is tied for the lead in par-3 scoring average.

Corbin Cormier is currently tied for second among all players with 13 total pars, while Peyton Bartee is tied for second in the tournament with three birdies.
