Trinity's Long-Goheen Ties for First Place at Schreiner Golf Tournament

Kerrville, Texas -- Trinity Tigers first-year men's golfer Erik Long-Goheen (Phoenix/Desert Vista) tied for first place Tuesday at the Schreiner Spring Shootout.
 
Long-Goheen shot a final round 72 for a two-round 146 at the par-72, 7,103-yard course at The Club at Comanche Trace. He tied for the lead with Justin Weant of LeTourneau, who recorded a 73.
 
The Tigers shot a 298 Tuesday, and finished in a three-way tie for fourth place, at 614, with host Schreiner,  and Texas-Dallas. The three teams placed ahead of Concordia (621) and Texas A&M International (678).
 
Texas-Tyler (599) won the event, while Hardin-Simmons and LeTourneau were runners-up (606).
 
Trinity's Tyler Lehmann shot a 75 (157 total) and tied for 22nd place. Geoffrey Setiawan and Austin Jung were in a tie for 25th (158). Setiawan shot a 75, and Jung recorded 76 on Tuesday. Matt McClure finished in a tie for the No. 31 slot, after shooting an 83 (161). Eric Davis, playing as an individual, placed at No. 34, with a final-round 78(162).
