Trinity's Wooton Honored by Golf Coaches Association
San Antonio – Trinity University Tigers senior Anne Wooton has been named a Division III All-American Scholar by the National Golf Coaches Association (NGCA).
The NGCA, which represents nearly 500 women's collegiate golf coaches, requires a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.50 to qualify as an All-American Scholar.
Wooton, from Baltimore (Friends School), who graduated from Trinity in May, was a history and anthropology major with a 3.570 GPA. She placed in the top-25 at the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championship at Stone Mountain, Ga.. The Tigers won the Sen. Eddie Lucio Invitational at Laguna Vista, Texas, with Wooton contributing to the victory by a 13th-place finish.
The Tigers are led by Director of Golf and head women's coach Carla Spenkoch.
