L.D. Green Sr. joins the Trinity coaching staff with a wealth of experience.

Most recently, the Army Retired Chief Warrant Officer coached at San Antonio’s Central Catholic High School. He was responsible for the defensive backs and defensive line from 2007-2010. Two of Coach Green’s defensive linemen earned All-State honors, and one played in the San Antonio All-Star Game. Seven defensive backs from Central made the All-District Team, and one was selected for the All-State Team.

In addition, Coach Green has served as the strength and conditioning coach at Central.

Coach Green was the receivers and running backs coach at Fort Campbell High School, Ky., from 2006-2007. He also served as offensive coordinator at Moanalua High School, in Honolulu, from 2004-2005.

He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in history from the University of Texas at San Antonio in 2010, and is currently working on a master’s.

Coach Green was a starting strong safety in 1981 at Hartnell Junior College, which won the California Junior College Championship.

He is married to Tritia M. Finley, and they have a son, Kai.
