Trinity's Burns Named to SCAC Football Sportsmanship Team

San Antonio -- Trinity University Tigers senior linebacker Jarrod Burns (Bulverde, Texas/Smithson Valley) was selected for the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Football All-Sportsmanship Team.
 
Eight players from the conference were named to the team. The award exemplifies the SCAC's special emphasis on sportsmanship each year.
 
The 5-foot-10, 210-pound Burns earlier was elected to the All-SCAC Second Team, marking the second consecutive year he was a conference honoree. Burns was ranked sixth in tackles in the conference, with 92 (46 solo).
 
The Tigers, led by 21st-year Head Coach Steve Mohr, completed the campaign with a 4-6 overall record, and were 2-4 in the SCAC.
