Ben Robinson Named SCAC Defensive Player of the Week

San Antonio - Trinity Tigers junior linebacker Ben Robinson has been selected as the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Football Defensive Player of the Week.
 
The 5-foot-11, 188-pound Robinson, from Coppell, Texas (Coppell), totaled 14 tackles (seven solo) in the Tigers 28-24 home win over Austin College last Saturday. He also intercepted a pass and returned it 19 yards for a touchdown. Robinson added three tackles for a loss, and chalked up two quarterback hurries.
 
For the season, Robinson recorded 76 tackles (40 solo), 12.5 tackles for a loss of 39 yards, 1.5 sacks, two interceptions, one pass breakup, two quarterback hurries, and two recovered fumbles.
 
The Tigers completed the campaign with a 4-6 overall record, and were 2-4 in the SCAC.
