Riley Curry Chosen as Team Stars & Stripes Captain

Tec Monterrey, Mexico - Tiger football wide receiver Riley Curry has been chosen as one of the team captains for Team Stars & Stripes at the Tazon de Estrellas.

Curry, who has been a standout both on and off the field during this week's practices, was one of four captains chosen by the players.  The players elected captains based on performance and leadership throughout the week of practices in Mexico.

After yesterday's final practice session, the team drove to the Teotihuacan ruins north of Mexico City.  Among the sights was the Pyramid of the Sun, which is "the third largest pyramid in the world."

Curry was a four-time All-SCAC performer at Trinity, finishing in the top five in Tiger history in career receptions, receiving yards, and touchdown receptions.

Trinity, led by 20th-year head coach Steve Mohr, finished 7-3 this past season, and tied for third in the SCAC with a 4-2 conference mark.
