San Antonio - Three Trinity Tigers have been chosen as Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Football Players of the Week.

Senior running back Chris Baer was named SCAC Offensive Player of the Week. Sophomore linebacker Ben Robinson got the nod as SCAC Defensive Player of the Week, and Garrett Biel, a first-year kicker, was chosen as SCAC Special Teams Player of the Week.

The players were recognized for their performances during Trinity's 27-17 SCAC home victory over the Centre College Colonels. Trinity improved to 6-3 and 3-2 SCAC.

The 6-foot, 205-pound Baer, from Shiner, Texas (Shiner), Texas, rushed for a career-high 209 yards on 19 carries (11.0 avg.) and scored a touchdown.

Baer's 64-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter swung the momentum back in Trinity's favor after Centre had tied the game.  The touchdown run also put the Tigers ahead for good in the win. For the season, Baer has 683 rushing yards on 114 attempts, and five touchdowns.
