NIck Pappas and Tanner Barron
Pappas and Barron led the Tiger baseball team to a 3-2 record last week, which included a doubleheader sweep of Schreiner, and a shutout win in the regular season finale against Austin College.

Pappas hit .778 (14-18) for the week, picking up three doubles and a triple among his 14 hits. He also scored seven runs and collected a team-best nine RBI. He also drew six walks for an on-base percentage of .833 for the week.
Against Schreiner, Pappas was just one hit shy of hitting for the cycle in one game, and had eight hits to become the ninth player in Trinity history to reach 200 in a career. He is also the 35th player in SCAC history to reach the milestone.
For the season, Pappas is second on the team with a .385 (55-143) batting average. He is also second on the team with 37 runs scored, and leads the Tigers with 50 RBI and 24 walks drawn. Pappas is also tied for the team lead with 15 doubles, and his .608 slugging percentage is second among Tiger players.

Barron led the Tigers to two of the team’s three wins, picking up victories against both Schreiner and Austin College over the week.
Barron pitched six shutout innings to finish off the regular season on Sunday afternoon, giving up just six hits and striking out three batters. Barron was 2-0 for the week, and did not allow an earned run in 11 innings of work. He allowed two unearned runs and 11 total hits for the week, recording 11 strikeouts.
For the season, Barron is now 3-0 with an ERA of just 3.16 in 10 appearances. Barron has pitched 31.1 innings, striking out 36 batters, and allowing just 11 earned runs.
