Tiger Soccer Teams Improve National Rankings

San Antonio – The Trinity University Tigers men’s and women’s soccer teams have risen in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America Division III rankings.
 
Trinity’s men (4-1-0), led by head Coach Paul McGinlay, improved to a No. 14 national ranking, from 23rd. The Tigers, who have won three straight games, are also ranked No. 2 in the West Region, up from third. Last weekend in Georgetown, Texas, Trinity beat Hardin-Simmons 3-0 and Texas-Dallas 1-0. Next up for the Tigers is Texas Lutheran, in a home game at 7:30 p.m. Thursday.
 
The Tiger women (3-1-0), with head Coach Lance Key, are the No. 19 team in the nation, after receiving votes last week. Trinity, which rose to No. 3 in the West Region, from fourth, defeated Texas-Dallas and Texas-Tyler by scores of 2-1 in road games. The Tigers beat UT-Dallas in an overtime contest at Richardson, Texas. Trinity will host California-Santa Cruz at 7 p.m. Friday.
