Mickey Mahler
2009 Hall of Fame Class
Mickey Mahler is Trinity's all-time leader in victories (28), from 1971-1974. He was a member of Trinity's NCAA playoff teams in 1972 and 1973. Mr. Mahler went on to be a Major League pitcher for seven teams from 1977-1986: Atlanta Braves, Pittsburgh Pirates, California Angels, Montreal Expos, Detroit Tigers, Texas Rangers and Toronto Blue Jays. He was a teammate of his brother at Trinity and on the 1979 Braves. The Mahler duo pitched the same game in 1979, as Atlanta played the Houston Astros. Mr. Mahler, who attended San Antonio's Jay High School, resides in Sandy, Utah. He is a special projects advisor for iFreedomdirect, a mortgage company.
