2009 Hall of Fame Class

JoAnne Russell, a 1975 All-American in women's tennis, won the USTA Collegiate Doubles Championship, with Donna Stockton the same year. As a professional, Ms. Russell was ranked No. 1 in the world in doubles, and as high as No. 11 in singles, in 1977. She captured the 1977 Wimbledon doubles title. She served as a television commentator, including duties for NBC and ESPN. A resident of Calabasas, Calif., Ms. Russell is a teaching pro at the Riviera Country Club near Los Angeles
