Brian Gottfried
2009 Hall of Fame Class
Brian Gottfried, an All-American men's tennis player at Trinity in 1971 and 1972, was the NCAA singles and doubles runner-up in 1972. A member of Trinity's 1972 NCAA Championship team, Mr. Gottfried went on to capture 51 Grand Prix doubles titles and 25 singles championships as a professional, including two French Open doubles championships and the Wimbledon doubles crown. A former Davis Cup player, Mr. Gottfried resides in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., where he teaches top junior and professional players.
